WARNING: Try not to remove the brake lines. If the brake lines happen to come off, your brake fluid will drain. Although having the brake lines on will make it a bit difficult.

NOTE: Painting the calipers will be better seen with aftermarket rims, with thin spokes. This will make your braking system look somewhat modified, it's also good when having a color theme. This is also a great time to do your brakes, you can bore the disc and get new pads. Do it all at once. If you have brake drums in the rear, you'll have to try to remove them and somehow paint them.

Materials Needed:

1. Screwdrivers (large size)

2. Hammer (maybe)

3. Wrenches (main sizes 10, 12, 14, 17; ratchet 10, 12, 14; otherwise look for size)

4. Lug Nut Remover (removing lug nuts)

5. High Temperature Spray Paint (choose preferred color)

Instructions:

1. Remove lug nut from wheel.

2. Remove the wheel.

3. Remove the nuts to the calipers and make sure to keep them in a safe place.

4. After removing the whole caliper and all  parts that go with it, start to spray the parts that are going to be visible with degreaser. (NOTE: DO NOT spray degreaser on anything but the caliper, cover the spindle and all lubricated areas well.)

5. You should wash the parts several times with degreaser to remove all grease and dirt.

6. Before painting it's best to clean it all with Lacquer Thinner. This will ensure cleaniness.

7. After making sure the parts are clean, pick a well ventilated area that so you can spray the parts that you removed that will be visible. As for the actual caliper, you'll have to use tape and cardboard to ensure no paint onto the wheel tub and to the driving stuff.

8. Give a minimum of 2 coats of paint on each part. This will give it a good look.

9. Now re-install all the parts that were first removed. Make sure you know where they go!

10. Re-install your wheels and the lug nuts.

11. Repeat for the 3 other corners.

I know it sounds kinda difficult but it'll seem easier after you do one wheel. If you have any questions, email me at NETwrek18@netzero.net. Or sign my guestbook asking for help. I'll get back to you as soon as possible and answer your question(s). GOOD LUCK!

Approx. Time: Varies Greatly
